The rules of a trusting relationship

Ethical Principles and Confidentiality

Psychological support is built on trust. This page summarises the ethical and confidentiality principles we apply at Dingin.

Confidentiality and its limits

Everything you share in sessions is confidential. The legal limits of confidentiality are: a serious and imminent risk of harm to yourself or someone else, suspected child abuse, and a court order. In such cases we inform you in advance where possible and share only the information that is required.

Informed consent

In the first session you sign a consent form describing the therapy approach, duration, fee, cancellation terms and limits of confidentiality. You can withdraw your consent at any time. For clients under 18 the guardian's consent is required, and the child's view is also heard in an age-appropriate way.

Records

Session notes are stored in an encrypted system under anonymised codes. Sessions are not recorded as audio or video; if a recording is needed for supervision we ask for your explicit written permission.

Boundaries and dual relationships

Our specialists do not form social, commercial or romantic relationships with clients outside sessions. Messaging outside sessions is only for booking matters; therapy content is discussed in sessions.

Complaints and feedback

You can send your dissatisfaction in writing to our centre director. Complaints about professional ethics violations can also be made to the Ethics Board of the Turkish Psychological Association.

Note: This centre does not make medical diagnoses or prescribe drugs; where medication is needed we refer to a psychiatrist.

The first step is small: a free 20-minute call

Pick a suitable time and a specialist will call you. You do not have to decide anything; let us just meet.
