Couple Therapy

75-minute couple sessions in a safe space for conversation

Couple Therapy

Emotion-focused and behavioural couple work that addresses argument cycles, trust issues and communication breakdown together.

3,400 TRY per session

Couple therapy is a space guided by a therapist where two people can talk without blaming each other. Most couples repeat the same argument across different topics; the aim is to notice this cycle and repair the broken bond. Sessions last 75 minutes.

Who comes?

  • Couples who argue often or do not listen to each other
  • Those who want to rebuild after a breach of trust or infidelity
  • Those who want premarital compatibility and expectations work
  • Those who disagree about having children, relations with family or money

Our approach

We work with emotion-focused couple therapy and communication exercises inspired by Gottman research. The first session may be with both of you, followed by individual sessions in the second and third, then joint sessions. The therapist is on both sides' side and does not act as a referee.

Couple therapy is not recommended in relationships involving violence; in that case a safety plan is made first and, if needed, a referral to the ALO 183 line.

Scope of service

  • 75-minute joint session
  • Communication and repair exercises
  • Premarital compatibility work
  • In person or online

Frequently asked questions

Why is the first call free?
In the 20-minute call we listen to you and decide on the specialist and approach that suit your need. The aim is to spare you from paying before the right match is found.
How long are sessions and how often?
Individual sessions last 50 minutes and couple and family sessions 75 minutes. Most courses are weekly; frequency can increase during crisis or intensive work periods.
Is what I say really confidential?
Yes. Apart from a serious and imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child abuse and a court order, no information is shared without your permission. Details are on the Ethical Principles page.
How long does therapy take?
The duration depends on the issue and the goal. Anxiety and panic may take 8–20 sessions, while working on deeper patterns may need 20 or more. We review progress together every 6 sessions.
Does a psychologist prescribe medication?
No. Medication assessment is the job of psychiatrists. When needed we refer you to psychiatrists we trust and share information with them with your permission.
