Systemic family counselling with joint sessions that resolve conflict patterns.
3,400 TRY per session
Family counselling assumes that a problem lives not in one person but in the network of relationships. Together with family members such as mother, father, child, adolescent or grandparents, we look at how the system works.
Topics addressed
- Adolescent-parent conflict, setting boundaries and rules
- Adjustment in a new marriage and blended families
- Elder care and sharing responsibility between siblings
- Family adjustment after loss, illness or migration
Session structure
Sessions last 75 minutes and are held with family groups of 2–6 people. In the first session everyone's viewpoint is heard and a family map (genogram) is drawn. Later sessions work on communication, roles and boundaries. Homework is small and realistic: a weekly family dinner or a listening exercise.
Evidence-based approaches include structural and strategic family therapy, parent management training and solution-focused brief therapy. In cases of domestic violence or abuse, a safety plan is made first and referrals to the relevant institutions are arranged.
Scope of service
- Family sessions for 2–6 people
- Family map (genogram) work
- Parent management training
- Adolescence and generational conflicts
